Prince William and Kate Middleton have returned to homeschooling their two oldest kids amid rising concerns of coronavirus throughout the United Kingdom.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will continue remote learning for George, 7, and Charlotte, 5, as the country enters a new stay-at-home order, according to Good Morning America.

U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson recently declared that all schools in the country close until at least February, including the Royals' private school in London, Thomas’s Battersea School.

Earlier this month, the Prince William and Kate sparked controversy after violating U.K.’s lockdown protocol while attending a family event at Queen Elizabeth’s estate.

The family has since followed the new safety guidelines enforced by the U.K. government, and continued to do so as they celebrated Kate's 39th birthday on Saturday.

Many members of the royal family sent their best wishes on the Duchess’ special day.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s wished Kate a happy birthday on their official Instagram account.

"Wishing The Duchess of Cambridge a very happy birthday today! 🎂."

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla also celebrated Kate’s birthday, posting, “Happy Birthday to The Duchess of Cambridge! 🎊”

The official Kensington Palace Instagram account shared gratidute for the birthday messages and acknowleded the difference in this year's celebrations.

"Thank you for your kind wishes on The Duchess’ birthday," the post was captioned. "Birthdays have been very different in recent months, and our thoughts continue to be with all those working on the front line at this hugely challenging time."

At the end of 2020, Kate and Prince William sent a message to everyone who experienced hardships during the pandemic.

“This Christmas, our thoughts are with those of you who are spending today alone, those of you who are mourning the loss of a loved one, and those of you on the frontline who are still mustering the energy to put your own lives on hold to look after the rest of us," the message read.
