If you’re a last-minute holiday shopper, you may be wondering if Target will be open and available for your shopping needs on December 25.
While a Target run typically saves the day, the retailer will not be open on Christmas Day.
This might mean a little planning on your part, however, don’t worry, Target will be open every day leading up to the holiday including on Christmas Eve.
While in past years, Target has extended hours on December 24 to accommodate shoppers, this year, stores will be open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., according to GoodHouseKeeping.com.
Hours vary by location, so be sure to check Target.com or the Target app for more information before heading over.
Stores are set to reopen at 7 a.m. on December 26.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, holiday shopping might look a bit different this year.
The retailer is taking additional precautions to keep shoppers and employees safe.
Face masks must be worn at all times, social distancing is encouraged, and some high-ticket items have a purchase-limit.
Target also rolled out contactless payments at self-checkout stations. “When you’re done scanning your items, just scan your Wallet barcode in the product scanning area to complete the transaction,” the update notes.
Another hassle-free addition includes skipping the check out line. According to the update, team members have been equipped with “1,000 more handheld MyCheckout devices at stores across the country to help you check out from anywhere inside the store.”
If you want to avoid going at peak times when the store is crowded, you can visit Target.com/line to see if there’s a line outside and to reserve a spot.
Those who don’t want to go inside can utilize Drive Up, which allows you to place an order online or through the app and pick it up without leaving the comfort of your car!
