After spotting a poster Ariella Mendes brought to remind Urie of his promise, the singer dedicated the song “High Hopes” to her. Mendes couldn’t believe the experience, as she explained, “I’ve looked up to him so much just because he talked about how he struggled with depression and anxiety as a kid and how he kept going.”

It was surely a night to remember for Ariella Mendes, who skipped her senior prom to go to the concert. She definitely made the right choice, as she said, “I found a way to love myself through their music.”
