Fans of the short lived group, The Postal Service, were treated to a small reunion this weekend. Death Cab For Cutie frontman, Ben Gibbard, brought former collaborator, Jenny Lewis, on stage during the band’s show to perform the Postal Service classic, ‘Nothing Better.’ Check out the performance below.
Ben Gibbard and Jenny Lewis collaborated on Gibbard’s debut album as The Postal Service back in 2003. Though the group never put out a follow up album, the band did put out a 10th anniversary album, including a second disc and bonus tracks. They also went on a few tour dates as The Postal Service as well.
With Gibbard on tour with Death Cab For Cutie, he felt it was the perfect opportunity to bring back Lewis and perform the hit song. Death Cab For Cutie is currently on tour throughout North America, and brought Lewis up at their stops in Portland, Maine, and Shelburne Vermont. Now they just need to bring back beatsmith, Jimmy Tamborello for a full reunion.
