Lazlo is not a successful comedian, he is not a television host, he’s never written a blog let alone a New York Times best-selling book, and word “successful” has rarely been uttered in the same sentence with his name. Lazlo is journeyman radio host. Born and raised in Detroit Michigan, Lazlo left home at seventeen and joined the Navy. After serving in the first Gulf War, Lazlo returned to the states and began his radio career in Key West, Florida. After making his way around the country, Lazlo landed a job with a start-up Alternative station in Kansas City in 2002. He likes Lucky Strike cigarettes, full-sized American luxury sedans, and all things sports. He’s happiest when he’s with his kids and coaches baseball, basketball, and football. If you’re curious about what he hates, just listen to his show for a few minutes.
The youngest of four boys, Slimfast (Reid) grew up trying his hardest to get the attention of his much older brothers. This "look at me" behavior bled over into his school life where Slim was constantly in trouble and barely able to finish high school with a degree. After finishing his freshman year of college on academic probation, Slimfast decided to call into a local radio show and ask for an internship. Little did he know, the voice on the other end of the phone would become his radio partner for the next twenty years. That voice was Lazlo’s and in that time the two of them have been waking up at 1pm and doing a "morning show" that better fits their sleep schedule. One time in high school, he drank a bunch of diet shakes that he found in his friend’s refrigerator. His friend’s mom responded by stocking the fridge with diet shakes just for him which led to the nickname. Slim likes dogs, subscribing to and sometimes reading car magazines, calling himself Episcopalian even though he hasn’t been to church in 20 years, and constantly texting his best friend who lives a block away but whom he only sees about once a year. He dislikes fancy beer, tight jeans, talking on the phone, and thinking about outer space. Paranoid, hypochondriac, anxious, moody, unpredictable, and nonathletic are a few words that describe him well.
