Grand Prairie officer rescues kitten found out in the cold

A police officer in Grand Prairie is sharing his story on social media after finding and rescuing a kitten he found out in the cold.

“He was so cold and scared but he walked right up to me. I picked him up and stuffed him in my jacket” said the officer on social media.

The kitten "went from brrr to purrr" after the officer took the cold kitten inside his squad car. The temperatures across North Texas had dropped to just above freezing overnight and through the morning.

Once he got warmed up, the kitten was very vocal and curious, climbing all over the officer and his car.
