Music’s biggest night is just days away, and all eyes are on the nominees for Album of the Year. The 2020 GRAMMY Awards are set to be packed with performances and intrigue, as the top artists in all of music compete for top honors. The race is tight in the category, with breakthrough stars and longtime favorites all in the running for GRAMMY gold, but in the end there can only be one.

This year the eight nominees for Album of the Year are spread across the world of Pop, Alternative, R&B, and beyond, with each LP offering up something special. From artists announcing their arrival in groundbreaking ways, to others returning after years away to capture a completely new vibe. This year’s contenders all have one thing in common. These albums transported us to another world, built by emotional and affecting music that changed the game.

It’s your turn to tell us who you think should win Album of the Year at the 2020 GRAMMY Awards, but first a rundown of this year’s nominees.

Bon Iver - i, i

Bon Iver assembles a collection of friends for his fourth studio album, but still manages some of his most personal moments. Setting aside the barrier of studio sounds to obscure his voice, Justin Vernon lets it stand above it all to deliver introspection and reflection on 'i, i.'

Lana Del Rey - Norman F***ing Rockwell!

Lana Del Rey moved into another level on her latest LP, earning the title of one of our greatest songwriters. Brought to life in both warm and devastating new shades, Lana shines and showcases an unrivaled pen and voice that gets better every new offering.

Billie Eilish – WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?

Billie Eilish can't stop making history. With vulnerability and virtuosity beyond her years, the young star has connected across generations by giving us a complex and authentic experience that's unshakable. She sets records because of her age, but it's all built on a talent with something to say.

Ariana Grande – thank u, next

Emerging from personal struggles and international tragedy, Ariana Grande chose to love herself and reinvent the Pop process. Delivering her second set of empowering earworms in the span of six months, and putting out a blueprint on how to get through it with heart and mind intact.

H.E.R. - I Used to Know Her

Many people got to know H.E.R. at the 2019 GRAMMY Awards, when the young singer won Best R&B Album and lit up the stage. She continues her streak this year by expanding her sound and carrying the weight of the world inside her stellar voice.

Lil Nas X - 7

It would have been easy for Lil Nas X to just fade away after his viral hit "Old Town Road" made him a star and set the record for most weeks at number one on the Billboard chart. Instead he doubled down and proved to be a real talent, swimming through different styles and strengthening his standing through an excellent debut EP.

Lizzo - Cuz I Love You

Everyone has finally figured out what we've known for years, that Lizzo is a self-love Queen that has a message only overshadowed by her voice. The singer turned out to be 100 percent authentic, letting us into her world with inescapable songs and her dynamic soaring sound. Cuz I Love You captures her at her best, flexing and feeling.

Vampire Weekend - Father of the Bride

Vampire Weekend returned after 6 years away, opting to let the sunshine in for a bright and ambitious double album. Father of the Bride finds the band beyond the crisis of their GRAMMY-winning third album with an eye towards the optimistic future.

Vote now for who you think should win Album of the Year at the 2020 GRAMMY Awards, and be sure to tune in to see all the action on Sunday January 26 at 8PM ET on CBS.
