"Dancing With the Stars," hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews are dancing off stage and out of the show.
In a statement from ABC, the show is moving to "embark on a new creative direction." ABC went on to say that Bergeron “departs the show with our sincerest thanks and gratitude for his trademark wit and charm that helped make this show a success.”
Last year, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer made his dancing debut on the show in its premiere.
Bergeron made his feelings known about Spicer joining the show at the time, tweeting that he hoped the season could be “joyful respite from our exhausting political climate” and urged them not have any “divisive bookings.”
It was reported that ABC producers were less than pleased with Bergeron's opinion. “We can agree to disagree, as we do now, but ultimately it’s their call,” Bergeron wrote in response to producers.
