San Francisco's Economic Recovery Task Force is responsible for a new initiative that benefits low-income families. Mayor London Breed said in a statement that everyone should have access to the "art and cultural institutions that [San Francisco] has to offer," & now several of Golden Gate Park's scenic areas are now free for low-income families.

For San Francisco residents you can show the following to gain free access for four people with the following:

- EBT Card
- Show proof of CalFresh benefits
- Shown proof of MediCal enrollment

For non-SF residents you can gain access for four with:
- EBT Card
- CalFresh or SNAP benefits

Four tickets can typically cost up to $38 for each of the areas.
