See way back in the 70s, there was a distinctive scream from George Lucas that made its way into his film American Grafitti. A few years later, there was a different movie scream (known as The Wilhelm) that the original Star Wars sound designer wove into that film and a bunch of others. NOW, according to this interview, the next generation of Star Wars sound geniuses has apparently replaced that sound with... George Lucas screaming. INCLUDING, allegedly, somewhere in the latest film in the franchise. Here's the whole interview - it's full of great info about what you heard in The Rise of Skywalker.
