Pop Punk. The music of a generation. An 11-year-old me couldn’t get enough of the stuff once MTV2 started spinning "My Friends Over You" by New Found Glory.

Of course, I’m older and wiser today and understand the story doesn’t begin there. The idea to incorporate pop sensibilities with a punk approach date back to at the very least Northern California in the late '80s when Billie Joe, Mike, and Trey started banging’ on things in somebody’s garage.

Whether you came up with All Time Low or can remember MXPX, check out ALT Press’ list of the 10 most influential bands to come out of the scene.
