During last weekend's protest in La Mesa, some businesses were broken into.

The windows have since been boarded up with plywood, but local artists decided to turn those pieces of plywood into something beautiful.

Many of the boarded up windows have now been transformed into murals and messages of unity. Check it out:

The artists have been paying for supplies out of their own pockets--but they did have a donations page going that reached $715. The page is no longer accepting donations, but reassures that more art will be coming to La Mesa soon.
