Yesi Ortiz is a Mexican American LA. radio host and Assistant Brand Manager for 97.1 AMP Radio. In her 17 years in the music industry she helped with breaking new artists via her iconic New @ 2 Feature on Power 106. Her early years in radio began in Las Vegas, Tijuana Mex & San Diego.
Through the years, she produced a docu-series called ‘Single w/7’, following her journey as she raised & adopted her sister’s 6 children. She co-hosted a television show called “The Collective Powered by Vevo,” produced by Jennifer Lopez. Her talents brought her to be casted in “VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Hollywood Season 1,” CBS “The Talk” as a Top Talker, among many others.
As stay-at-home orders continued to rise, Yesi began hosting digital spaces with activist, journalist, and celebrities. Most recent, The People’s Assembly w/ CNN Political commenter Angela Rye, Actor Kendrick Sampson & musical guest, Aloe Blacc & Las Cafeteras. Yesi is a co-founder of L.I.M.A COALITION (Latinos in Media & Arts) working to equalize Latino talent and recognition in the arts and media industry. She also produces a podcast with her partner Dr. Milo L. Dodson titled MENTAL HEALTH IS R.E.A.L. (Reflecting Empathy and Love) destigmatizing mental health in underserved communities.
