I'm Listening: Frankie Grande Wants To Help You Get Past Feelings of Self Doubt

'Ask someone else how they’re doing'

When you’re feeling caught up in a “hurricane” of emotions, Frankie Grande has a tip for you that might just pause all your feelings of anxiety and self-doubt.

The broadway star shares, “when I get caught in that spiral of ‘woah is me’ …ask someone else how they’re doing. That is my biggest tip and trick because if you are invested in another person, and you’re asking about somebody else… you have to listen and that will immediately pull you out of your own head.”

Grande firmly believes that offering care and a moment to listen allows you to take a breather from your own racing mind. Sometimes a distraction is all you need.

It is still crucial to discuss your own feelings and reflect on your own mental health status, however when you need a break from your thoughts, being caring towards another person is rewarding for all parties involved.

As we lead up to our September 23 broadcast of I’m Listening we wanted to reflect on the artists and musicians who have been consistently conscious about taking care of their mental state. From Katy Perry to Luke Combs, we are providing you with stories and advice from artists who believe that talk has the power to save lives.

Don’t miss more words of wisdom from Frankie Grande and the I’m Listening class of 2020. Catch our September 23 show at 6 PM on all RADIO.COM stations (some exceptions apply) and on the RADIO.COM app.
