When third grader Luke Nelson was diagnosed with Alopecia, his classmates proved to be some of the best medicine. Alopecia is an autoimmune disease that causes people to lose their hair.
For Luke, the diagnosis was very difficult. He felt self conscious and afraid to be different, he says. He tried to cover things up with a baseball cap, but his friends would not let him go it alone.
