3 'Combative' Women Attack Spirit Airlines Workers at Florida Airport

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (1010 WINS) -- Three women were arrested Tuesday night after police say they punched, kicked and threw items at Spirit Airlines employees inside a Florida airport.

The incident happened in Terminal 4 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, outside the gate of a flight to Philadelphia.

According to Spirit Airlines, three guests "became combative following a delayed flight."

Three airline employees suffered minor injuries as a result of the attack that was captured on video.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office arrest report, the three women struck the airline employees "with miscellaneous items, such as phones, shoes, full water bottles, metal boarding signs, and fast food," and you can see women on the video hurling things at Spirit employees and then going behind the counter and physically attacking at least one of the employees.

"The victims were also punched and kicked in different sections of their bodies numerous times," the arrest documents said.

The three women officials cuffed are all from Philadelphia.

Authorities charged 20-year-old Tymaya Wright, with touch or strike battery and petit theft for allegedly taking a Spirit employee’s phone, 22-year-old Danaysha Dixon was arrested on charges of or strike battery, and 21-year-old Keira Ferguson was arrested on charges of touch or strike battery.
