When 4th-grader Heaven Westmorland was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, she didn’t want to endure the trauma of losing her hair slowly through chemo.
Instead, she shaved her head with a party with family, friends, and hospital staff. They all gathered in support, playing Heather’s music playlist and eating her favorite foods.
Heather’s mom and some of the party-goers even shaved their heads in solidarity.
Afterwards, they celebrated by putting on fun wigs and hung a disco ball and a sign that said ‘Bald is strong.’
