The Big Ten is set to name Minnesota Vikings chief operating officer Kevin Warren as its new commissioner in a press conference Tuesday morning, sources told the Mully & Haugh Show.
Warren, 55, has been with the Vikings for 20 years and in the position of chief operating officer since 2015. He will become the first African-American commissioner of any Power 5 conference.
Warren will succeed Jim Delany, who will step down from his position as commissioner in June 2020. Delany entered into his role in 1989 as just the fifth Big Ten commissioner.
