SAN DIEGO (97.3 The Fan) -- With the Alliance of American Football shutting down this week, the XFL looks to become the only spring football league, starting in 2020.
XFL commissioner Oliver Luck joined the "Dan Sileo Show" on Friday morning to talk about how this league will be different than the AAF.
"I like the up-tempo pace of the AAF, and we would like to do that with our league as well, and we've been working on that," said Luck, the father of Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. "It was good for us to see live games with 30-second clocks, and we hope to get that right with our league."
It looks as if the XFL -- with the backing of WWE CEO Vince McMahon -- could be better positioned financially than the AAF was. Luck also explained how much of a committment McMahon is making to the league in its second incarnation.
