As football season returns, Lil Wayne shares his new single "NFL," featuring Young Money rappers Gudda Gudda and Hoodybaby.
The fiery anthem was produced by mega producers Boi-1da and !llmind, serving as the soundtrack for Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video, which kicks off Thursday, October 8th with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers versus the Chicago Bears.
"Ballin' like we at the Super Bowl / Scorin' touchdowns and just spike [it]," the Young Money CEO raps on the second verse. "You know the other team, they don’t like [it] / Tell ’em kick it off, heads or tails / Party ’cause we win it every year."
"NFL" arrives with an animated video featuring images of the three rappers on an empty football field, which Wayne shared on Twitter.
In addition, Wayne also curated a 28-song playlist of "Handpicked with Lil Wayne: Songs for Game Day" for Amazon Music. The list features a few hits by Wayne himself, as well as songs by Lil Baby, Wyclef Jean, Usher, Kelly Rowland and newcomer Jack Harlow, as well as tracks from his Young Money family, including Nicki Minaj and Drake.
"NFL" follows the deluxe release of Weezy's 2018 album, Tha Carter V, which features seven new, unreleased tracks and contributions from 2 Chainz, Post Malone and Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon.
