The One World: Together at Home special, featuring performances by The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, and other major music stars as they self-isolated because of the coronavirus pandemic, was broadcast Saturday on all major US networks and several digital platforms, including RADIO.COM.

Among the show's highlights was The Rolling Stones playing a version of "You Can't Always Get What You Want." The video featured a split screen showing band members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood performing the tune in separate locations. Humorously, Watts played air drums on some boxes and a chair, so a drum track must have been added to the mix.

McCartney played a slowed-down rendition of his classic Beatles song "Lady Madonna" on piano. Before his performance, Sir Paul noted, "My mother, Mary, was a nurse and a midwife just after and during the Second World War, so I have a lot of time for the doctors, the nurses, and all the medical staff that keep us healthy. We love you. Thank you."

The event also featured performances by Stevie Wonder and Elton John. Stevie played a medley of the Bill Withers' classic "Lean On Me" and his own gem "Love Is in Need of Love Today." Elton performed his uplifting hit "I'm Still Standing."

Among the many other artists who performed during the special were Lady Gaga -- who curated the two-hour event -- Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, Coldplay's Chris Martin, Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, Taylor Swift and Céline Dion.

During the broadcast, it was announced that the event's corporate partners and philanthropists had committed $127 million so far to aid the World Health Organization's support of healthcare workers' fight against the pandemic.
