Cop Adopts Abandoned Dog After Finding It Chained to Fence in Freezing Rain

The NYPD’s newest member of the force has four legs.

Meet Joey. Officer Michael Pascale rescued him after finding him alone and chained to a fence in Brooklyn. It was raining out, and the pup was soaked and freezing.

So Pascale ran out of his car to help him. He’s since adopted the pup. Joey rides shotgun with Michael in the squad car, and the two love to pose for selfies together.

Joey will spend the rest of the winter, warm and well fed with his new friend, Michael, and far away from any chain fences.
