Big companies like Facebook and Google are allowing many of their employees to work from home through the end of 2020.

Facebook has said that any employee that can do their job from home is welcome to do so through the end of the year. The social media giant is not reopening offices to anyone until July 6 at the earliest, which is subject to change, Deadline reports.

When the coronavirus pandemic hit, their original plan was to allow employees to work from home through May. Facebook has also canceled in-person events through June of next year.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Google has said that its employees will most likely work remotely through the end of the year. The original guidelines were for employees to work from home through June 1.

It is unconfirmed if other tech companies will follow suit.
