No matter how cold it gets, firefighters still have to show up when things get dangerously hot.

This is what happened when crews battled a house fire in Cameron, Wisconsin with wind chill temperatures hitting minus 50 degrees.

They got the fire under control, but it seems like everything around them, including Department Chief Mitch Hansen’s  beard, froze!

Team members said Hansen’s frosted face glistened in the sunlight. His uniform was also covered in ice from the arctic chill.

They added these was the coldest conditions, they ever remember having to work. The home was destroyed in the blaze, but everyone inside got out safely. And they were able to save a few personal belongings.
