Have you ever wondered what it would be like to get married at Taco Bell? No? Too bad. It’s totally a possibility, and we have all the details on how it works.
There’s a chapel on the second floor of Taco Bell on the Las Vegas strip, and a few lucky couples have actually tied the knot there – to each other, not tacos, surprisingly.
The chapel opened its doors in the summer of 2017 and is now booked nearly every week for wedding ceremonies, including several reservations that go into 2020. People are lining up to be married amongst the tacos!
The idea was inspired by Taco Bell-themed marriage proposals that were sweeping the country. From rings surrounded by hot sauce packets to getting down on one knee, taco in hand, the franchise made the decision to bring Taco Bell weddings to life.
A wedding ceremony at the chapel costs just $600, making dads everywhere cry tears of joy, being rid of crazy wedding price tags.
Couples are invited to bring their 25 closest friends, and the lucky pair will be adorned in the finest sauce-packet garters and bowties as well as a couple of “Just Married” t-shirts. The bride is given a bouquet of sauce packets to borrow for her five seconds of fame down the aisle.
The venue will provide champagne flutes filled with Baja Blast Mountain Dew, a cake made of Cinnabon Delights, and a 12-pack of tacos for the makeshift reception that follows. Extra food is available for purchase, per the Taco Bell wedding website, where you can also book your ceremony.
