The Kansas City Chiefs keep rolling along, putting up more than 30 points yet again last week. They defeated the Browns, 37-21, to improve to 8-1. They are still two weeks away from their bye. The Arizona Cardinals are coming off their bye after defeating the 49ers, 18-15, the week prior. At 2-6, the Cardinals' main goal is to see development from rookie QB Josh Rosen, who has been shaky since taking over for Sam Bradford as the starter in Week 4.

The Cardinals weren’t expected to be great, but they weren't expected to be as bad as they have been. The Cardinals released Bradford during their bye week; they realized pretty quickly how big of a mistake it was to give him $20 million. Rosen has shown some improvement, though. In the Cardinals' previous game against the 49ers, he set career highs in completions (23), passing yards (252), and TD passes (2). Cardinals fans also will be watching WR Christian Kirk, who has played well with Rosen. He caught the game-winning TD in Week 8 with less than a minute to go. The disappointment for this team has been David Johnson, who has 394 rushing yards on 122 attempts, good for just 3.2 yards per carry. Their defense is going to have their hands full against the Chiefs offense.

People may forget record-setting QB Patrick Mahomes is in his first season of real playing time. Watching Alex Smith from the sideline in 2017 may have been the best thing to happen for him. Mahomes passed for 375 yards and three TDs against the Browns last week. He has 300-plus passing yards in eight straight games, tied with Andrew Luck for the longest streak in NFL history. Mahomes has 29 TD passes and 3,185 passing yards in his first 10 games, both NFL records. Kareem Hunt has been incredible as well. Hunt is coming off a game with 141 yards from scrimmage and three TDs. The Chiefs defense has been their weakness this season. Dee Ford leads the team with eight sacks. They should be putting a ton of pressure on Rosen, especially in front of their rowdy home crowd at Arrowhead.
