From restaurants to clothing lines, booze, and beyond, many A-list Hollywood stars have their own personal side hustles.
For example, outside of acting on the big screen, Jessica Alba is the founder of The Honest Company.
Founded in 2011, The Honest Company sells non-toxic and organic household baby and beauty products.
After the birth of her first child in 2008, Alba noticed her baby had an allergic reaction to one of the laundry detergents she was using. This sparked an idea for the mom of three, who went on to lobby Congress for chemical reform in products.
On the company’s website, Alba states: “I founded The Honest Company because I wanted safe, effective products that perform. After all, you shouldn't have to choose between what works and what's good for you.”
“The Honest Company” has been valued at more than $1 billion and sells its products in chains such as Target and CVS.
Kudos to Alba on her entrepreneurial hustle.
