NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Kanye West, who is making a run for the Oval Office and attempting to get on presidential ballots in a slew of states, met with White House senior adviser Jared Kushner last weekend in Colorado, The New York Times reported Wednesday.
West confirmed he and the president's son-in-law met, tweeting Tuesday night, "I’m willing to do a live interview with the New York Time (sic) about my meeting with Jared where we discussed Dr Claude (sic) Anderson’s book Powernomics."
The Times reported that West's tweet was posted after it had reached out for comment about the pow-wow.
West is referring to Dr. Claud Anderson's book "PowerNomics: The National Plan to Empower Black America," which outlines "a five-year plan to make Black America a prosperous and empowered race that is self-sufficient and competitive as a group," according to the publisher.
According to the Times, the meeting took place in Colorado where Kushner and wife Ivanka Trump were. West was camping with his family in the state, and flew to Telluride -- without wife Kim Kardashian West -- to meet with Kushner.
The White House has not commented on the meeting.
