New York Knicks legend Patrick Ewing has tested positive for COVID-19, the NBA icon announced Friday night.
"I want to share that I have tested positive for COVID-19," he tweeted. "This virus is serious and should not be taken lightly. I want to encourage everyone to stay safe and take care of yourselves and your loved ones."
Ewing is under care and isolated at a local hospital, said a statement from Georgetown athletics. "Ewing is the only member of the Georgetown men's basketball program to test positive for the virus," the statement adds.
"I’ll be fine and we’ll all get through this," the former Knicks star said.
