New York Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker has been charged with four counts of robbery with a firearm, charges that bring a mandatory minimum of 10 years with a maximum of life in a state prison if convicted.
The charges were announced by State Attorney Mike Satz in Broward County, Florida, on Friday.
Baker, along with Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar, was accused of stealing cash and watches from a house party in Miramar, Florida, back on May 13. Baker surrendered three days later and was released on bond, and over the nearly three months since, this case has taken numerous twists and turns.
According to Satz, Broward prosecutors are also declining to file criminal charges against Dunbar, the other party accused in this case, citing insufficient evidence.
