(WWL) - Media maven Oprah Winfrey has put her money where her mouth is, investing in friend and frequent guest Dr. Andrew Weil's True Food Kitchen chain. Winfrey sits on the board of directors and is actively involved in marketing the healthy food restaurant which is growing quickly.
New Orleans is getting its True Food Kitchen, opening September 25th. Starting Monday, however, the restaurant will host a three-week job fair Monday through Saturday, 10am-6pm at their location on the corner of St. Charles and Julia in New Orleans. Senior Marketing Manager Christine Ferris says the restaurant is looking to fill 135 open positions.
"New Orleans is obviously a foodie market, and we're really excited to be bringing our seasonal dishes and beverages there," Ferris says.
True Food Kitchen is definitely aimed at a niche: Young professionals living and working in the immediate area who are looking for fresh farm-to-table cuisine in a bright atmosphere.
The brain child of Dr. Andrew Weil True Food Kitchen is seeing robust growth through out the country, particularly in the south and southeast.
