PORTAGE, Ind. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- There may be someone to blame for the arctic blast that has hit the Midwest this week.
Although the cold never bothered her, many people in the Midwest are bothered. An arrest warrant has been issued in Portage, Indiana for Disney's Queen Elsa.
Yes that is right, the snowy-blonde haired, blue eyed Queen of Arendelle is to blame as she just could not "hold it back anymore" and "let the storm rage on."
Though Elsa's goal of the storm was to see what she could do, and sang about testing the limits and breaking through. "No right, no wrong, no rules for me. I'm free. Let it go, let it go. I am one with the wind and sky. Let it go, let it go. You'll never see me cry."
The Portage Police Department believes otherwise as they put out an interstate warrant poster calling for the arrest of Queen Elsa, known from Disney's "Frozen."
Queen Elsa is wanted for "placing the city of Portage, Northwest Indiana and the Midwest into a polar vortex the likes of which are bone-chilling, teeth-chattering, finger-numbing and soul-crushing."
She may have something to cry about and will not be free if police catch her.
“Things just got real,” Police Chief Troy Williams said on the Portage Police Department's Facebook page. “We're actively looking for Elsa to put a stop to this uninhabitable weather.”
As of Thursday morning, Queen Elsa as still at large.
