After posting photos of Prince Louis ahead of his first birthday just over a week ago, Kensington Palace has taken to Instagram once more on Wednesday to show off new photos of Princess Charlotte in honor of her fourth birthday on Thursday.
It seems that with each birthday for the young Cambridges comes new photos of the littlest royals, and the Duchess is ready to deliver. Most recently, the royals have released three new photos of Princess Charlotte – lovingly referred to as Lottie by her parents – taken by the Duchess at Kensington Palace and their home in Norfolk.
The first image shows a soft-smiled Charlotte, posed in a blue floral dress on the grass.
The next photo features the Princess in all of her active, four-year-old glory as she runs through the yard holding a flower. Her hair is swept back in a ponytail with a navy bow matching her navy and forest green plaid skirt.
The third and final photo shows off that familiar soft smile as little Charlotte climbs a fence.
Excited onlookers took to the comment section to express how much Charlotte has grown since we last saw photos of her. Many can't believe the striking resemblance she holds to both Queen Elizabeth and Prince William.
Actress and author Grace Byers comments, “She’s gotten so big so quickly!,” while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex added a little love of their own, saying, “Happy Birthday Charlotte! Lots of love, H and M xo.”
