HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- The Texans have traded DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals for running back David Johnson and a second round pick.
Hopkins, a first team All Pro selection the past three seasons, has three years, $40 million left on a contract extension signed during training camp in 2017. The Texans will also send a fourth round pick to Arizona.
In return for Hopkins, the Texans acquire Johnson, a 2016 Pro Bowl selection, who has struggled to produce at that level since. He's run for just 1,308 yards the last three seasons after rushing for 1,239 in 2016..
The second round pick going to the Texans is the 40th overall selection of next month's draft.
