When the mercury dips well below zero, experts say you should hunker down indoors to keep safe. But if you must take the roads, there are some safety precautions that can be taken to ensure you have a safe journey.
AAA Motor Club suggests that you should avoid driving fatigued. They also say, when warming up your car, you should make sure to do it outdoors and not in an enclosed space like a garage. You should also ensure your tires are properly inflated and that your gas tank is half full.
Before you head out on the road, your cellphone should be charged in case of an emergency.
