Any time there is a big game somewhere, we all tune in while the celebrities all get front-row access.
Some of these famous folks enjoy the game and experience; others become part of the game and experience.
Here are some of the most obnoxious celebrity fans in sports:
Bieber is a bandwagon sports fan and unapologetically so. The Ontario native has no problem ditching his Maple Leafs jersey for a Penguins one or any other team’s jersey for that matter and explained so on Twitter after catching heat.
If that isn’t enough to make him infuriating, he is constantly hanging out with sports stars, joining the New England Patriots in their locker room or partying with Odell Beckham Jr. and on a boat in Miami.
Oh, he is also part of Floyd Mayweather’s entourage for some reason and enters the ring with him before every fight.
The Philadelphia-born comedian may be small in stature, but he’s big in trash talking. Hart is a die-hard Eagles and 76ers fan but has made his presence felt on the hardwood. Just ask Dwyane Wade, who credited Hart as the motivating factor for why he was able to turn back the clock in a first-round playoff game against the 76ers and score 28 points in the victory.
The pop artist and her fandom of Lebron James has become a thorn in the side of the Warriors in recent years. During the 2015 NBA Finals, Warriors owner Joe Lacob had to move his courtside seats because Rihanna was rooting for LeBron and the Cavaliers, which “irritated” Lacob.
She was at it again during Game 1 of the 2017 NBA Finals, bowing down to James and turning around and dabbing at Warriors fans. In the fourth quarter, it was Kevin Durant who appeared to have had enough of her.
After hitting a couple of crucial free throws and a big three-pointer, Durant glared toward Rihanna’s direction in a stare down. Some believe Rihanna was heckling Durant, but it may have been someone she was with. Durant played dumb and acted like he didn’t know what happened after the game.
The Toronto rapper has gotten a reputation as a bandwagon fan, being seen warming up with the Kentucky men’s basketball team and wearing Alabama football gear, but he has always been loyal to his hometown Raptors.
So much so, the Drake has become a main attraction of Raptors games with rambunctious celebrating on his seats at center court. His enthusiasm reached a new level during the 2019 Eastern Conference Finals when he gave Raptors head coach Nick Nurse a quick shoulder rub in the middle of the game.
No celebrity is more identifiable with his chosen team than Spike Lee with the Knicks. The movie director is courtside at almost every single home game and has seen the good, the bad and the ugly of the Knicks.
Lee’s passion often results in trash-talking with players on the court, none more infamous than what happened in the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals. Indiana Pacers star Reggie Miller was a favorite target of Lee’s and the two were going back and forth as Miller put up 39 points in a pivotal game 5, including 25 in the fourth quarter.
Miller had enough of Lee and as it became clear the Pacers were going to win, Miller looked at Lee and gave him the choke sign and also grabbed a part of the male anatomy. Knicks fans blamed Lee for setting Miller off, but New York got the last laugh and won the series in seven games.
