Outside of acting, Susan Sarandon has been known to partake in a unique hobby: ping pong. She took her hobby to the next level when she opened SPiN in 2009, a New York City ping pong club.
SPiN currently has 9 different locations throughout North America. Each location has full functioning bars and kitchens, and also host tournaments and leagues. All ages and levels are welcome.
Celebrities, such as Justin Beiber, have been known to stop by the original ping pong club.
In a 2009 interview, the Thelma and Louise actress said, “I love the whole idea that it crosses all gender and age barriers… you can have little girls beating muscley 35-year-old men."
Kudos to Sarandon for turning her hobby into a fun hustle.
