Out Of State Workers Helping Those Impacted By Hurricane Florence

More than 1,000 out-of-state line workers and support personnel arriving to respond to Hurricane Florence’s impact.

About 1,000 linemen and support personnel are arriving in Charlotte from out of state and preparing to respond to Hurricane Florence’s damage. These personnel traveled from Florida, Texas, New Orleans and Arkansas, joining crews that have traveled from more than 26 locations across the U.S. and Canada to assist with restoration efforts following Hurricane Florence’s wrath.

After the storm passes and it is safe for our crews to begin assessing damage and restoring power, a portion of these resources will focus on the central Carolinas region and others will depart to hardest hit areas.
