BOSTON (WEEI) -- Thousands of people come out to the Boston Marathon every year to cheer on the runners.
But it would be hard to find a more adorable fan than Spencer, a therapy dog who attends with his owner, Rich Powers.
Spencer and his Boston Strong flags were set up between Mile 2.5 and Mile 4 for this year's event on Monday. Spencer donned a yellow rain coat to help keep him dry.
Spencer's sister, Penny, often joins, but she has sat out the past two years because she doesn't like the rain.
Lawrence Cherono of Kenya won the elite men's race in a dramatic sprint finish. Worknesh Degefa of Ethiopia cruised to victory in the elite women's race.
