BOSTON (WEEI.com) -- Forget Quidditch, “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe weighed in on the Super Bowl and his dislike for Tom Brady.
In an interview with Variety, actor Daniel Radcliffe explained why he'll be rooting against the New England Patriots when they play the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in Super Bowl LIII.
"Take that MAGA hat out of your locker," Radcliffe joked. "The whole world is rooting against the Patriots. Sorry."
Radlcliffe went on to explain that he doesn't believe the Rams will prevail, but that he's sick of Brady "winning things," and he admits it traces to the red hat Brady briefly displayed in his locker during the 2016 presidential campaign, which led to much anguished copy and commentary.
"I feel like that was the moment when we were like, as a country, 'Oh, c'mon, dude, we all want to be behind you, you're awesome, don't put that in there,'" Radcliffe said.
It's worth noting that whatever Brady's level of support for president Donald Trump, he hasn't voiced it in years, going so far as to skip the White House visit in 2017 after defeating the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl, leading to no mention of his contributions in Trump's speech honoring the team.
