(1010 WINS) -- A woman that climbed over the safety barrier and entered the African lion exhibit at the Bronx Zoo over the weekend can be seen waving and dancing in front of one of the lions in a video posted to Instagram.
The video depicts the encounter between the male lion and the woman who appears to be just a few feet from the animal.
While wearing a T-shirt and black pants, she stares at the lion and then raises her arms and begins to do a dance.
She also waves at the standing lion, who looks around and stares at her but never attacks.
"You will not believe what happened, " said @realsobrino, who posted the videos to his Instagram page.
The Bronx Zoo staff received a report that an individual had climbed over a visitor safety barrier at the African lion exhibit on Saturday Septeber 28.
"This action was a serious violation and unlawful trespass that could have resulted in serious injury or death. Barriers and rules are in place to keep both visitors, staff and animals safe," the Bronx Zoo said in a statement. "We have a zero tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers."
No injuries were reported during this incident.
It is unknown if there was any action taken against the woman seen in the video.
