Tatum O’Neal was 10 years old when she won the trophy for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Paper Moon” in 1974. This makes her the youngest Oscar winner.
The oldest winner is James Ivory who, at 89, took home the award for Best Adapted Screenplay. He was recognized for writing “Call Me by Your Name”
As for the person who has taken home the most gold, that would be Walt Disney with a whopping 26 Oscars.
Three films are tied for the most awards won. They are “Ben-Hur,” “Titanic,” and “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.” They have won 11 awards each.
As for the person who won the most trophies for acting, that would be the iconic Katharine Hepburn, who had four Oscars to her name.
