Wonho took a few moments away from his busy K-pop lifestyle and lent an ear to some 8-bit hits.
It was all part of Seventeen magazine’s 8-bit lyric challenge. The former Monsta X member sat patiently while guessing which retro rhythm matched with popular songs. Wonho performed rather well, correctly guessing eight out of ten tunes. The list include “Watermelon Sugar” by Harry Styles, “Intentions” from Justin Bieber, and Billie Eilish’s “bad guy,” which surprisingly sounded as good as the original!
"When this song came out, it was just shocking," Wonho says about the BTS hit "Boy With Luv."
"The song was so good. Even now it's still in my playlist and I enjoy listening to it," he shares. "They're just cool. Always super."
"Might just be my own thought, but, would there be anyone in the world who wouldn't know this song?" he smiles.
It’s been nearly a year since Wonho left the K-pop super group Monsta X amid controversy, and he wasted no time making new music. After teasing a new song and video last month, the singer finally released his new song “Losing You” along with a music video.
The somber track benefits from a dark music video, featuring the artist wading through his intense sadness over a failed relationship.
“Losing You” comes as part of his debut solo mini album called Love Synonym #1: Right for Me. In an interview with RADIO.COM, Wonho gave us an insight into what fans can expect on the record. “They can expect many things that matter to me,” he said. “Open emotions, feeling, dancing, both languages Korean and English and basically many colors of me.”
