July 28th, 2020 at 2PM - Governor Ralph Northam announces new restrictions in Hampton Roads area effective July 31, 2020 at 12AM:
No alcohol sold or consumed on-site after 10pm.
All restaurants must close by midnight.
Indoor dining at 50% capacity
Public and private gatherings of more than 50 people are prohibited (indoor and outdoor).
Masks are STILL required.
Non-Essential retail will open.
Restaurants and beverage services will open.
Gyms and fitness centers still remain open at limited capacity.
Schools will reopen with a three-phase process:
-50 percent capacity for indoor seating in restaurants
-30 percent capacity for indoor gym classes and work outs.
-Pools can open, but there will be restrictions.
-Zoos and museums can open, but there will be restrictions.
-No shared equipment for recreational sports.
-Social gatherings limited to 50 people.
Face covering requirements are mandated for everyone age 10+ and must be worn in the following places:
Inside ALL brick and mortar retail establishments.
Inside ALL personal care and grooming establishments.
Inside places where people congregate.
Inside food and beverage establishments,
On public transportation.
When accessing state or local government services.
While eating or drinking.
If you have trouble breathing or are unable to remove the mask without help.
If your health conditions prohibit wearing a face covering.
The following is in place until June 10, 2020:
-Gatherings of ten or more people are prohibited.
-Private campgrounds are closed for short-term stays
-Virginia beaches are closed to recreation other than exercise and fishing
-Higher education institutes will cease in-person instruction
-If you can work remotely, do so. Companies are encouraged to allow it.
