American fans of TikTok will be happy to know that the video-sharing app isn't going anywhere just yet, and Country music fans are going to be just as happy with a new channel dedicated to all things honky-tonk.
“I have given the deal my blessing,” President Donald Trump said on Saturday regarding the proposed deal between Oracle and Walmart to take over U.S. operations of TikTok. “If they get it done, that’s great. If they don’t, that’s OK too.”
Looking to the famed Hype House on TikTok and adding their own countrified flair, artists Chris Ruediger and Ashley Cooke who both have a large following on the app have started a brand new channel, called The 615 House, which has been posting genre-specific content from musicians all around the Nashville music scene.
The talent flowing in and out of the doors of the 615 House in Music City is undeniable. Just take a look at some of the posts they've shared on Instagram.
“We saw that people loved seeing Country music TikTokers come together and collaborate,” Cooke tells Taste Of Country, but there was no repository for it like the Hype House had. So, they got to work.
Ruediger agrees. “There’s not really a house centered around especially music, but more so like the originality and songwriting that is so prevalent in a city like Nashville, the backbone of country music.”
Launched in mid-August, the channel has already accumulated over 200,000 followers thanks to the brilliant content being created by Cooke and Ruediger, as well as country singers Cooper Alan, Pricilla Block, Bonner Black, Thomas Mac, Sammy Arriaga, Tony Evans Jr. and sister duo, Tigirlily.
