Sixers center Joel Embiid left the team’s game on Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers with an injury to his left ankle.
Embiid’s injury seemed to occur with just under seven minutes to play in the first quarter when he came down awkwardly trying to block a shot.
Embiid went to the locker room shortly after and did not return.
With Embiid out the team is now without their two best players, as Ben Simmons is likely out the rest of the season due to a knee injury.
This is a developing story.
