This concert is being put on by the Tim Bergling Foundation, not only to celebrate the life of the producer, songwriter and DJ, but also to promote the importance of mental health awareness. Avicii, whose real name is Tim Bergling, suffered from struggles with mental health and died by suicide on April 20, 2018 at the age of 28.
The lineup for this event includes DJ performances by David Guetta, Kygo, Nicky Romero, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Laidback Luke, and live performances by Rita Ora, Aloe Blacc, Adam Lambert, Alex Ebert, and more.
You can listen to the event on FireLane this Thursday at 10 PM ET / 7PM PT.
The Tim Bergling Foundation will support many causes including climate change and nature conservation, and will start with a strong focus on mental health and suicide prevention. “Tim wanted to make a difference" explained his family in a statement earlier this year. "Starting a foundation in his name is our way to honor his memory and continue to act in his spirit.”
