These little turtles are finally going back home!
Ten Kemp's ridley sea turtles and one loggerhead were recently rescued by the Houston Zoo and after they passed their final rehabilitation test, all were released back into their home in the Gulf of Mexico.
Hundreds of people gathered to watch the adorable release, along with another 21 green sea turtles later that day.
That makes 32 turtles now happily swimming in their natural habitat once again after recovering from various injuries like boat strikes and entanglements thanks to Dr. Joe Flanagan and the veterinarians with the Houston Zoo along with their partners at Moody Gardens and the Turtle Island Restoration Network!
