Rescuers Wade Through Waist Deep Water to Rescue Trapped Horses

By Kayla Jardine

These animals should thank their lucky horseshoes that rescuers were able to find them.

Horses in North Carolina were trapped by high-level flood waters, unable to survive.

Thankfully volunteers from the Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue, a non-profit organization based in North Dakota, came to save the majestic creatures.

After bribing the horses to behave using food, they were able to walk them through the floodwaters to dry land.

After traveling over 1,500 miles to help efforts in North Carolina, these rescuers are making it worth their while.
