It was just a few months ago that Trey Anastasio sent fans into a tizzy with just a one-minute video posted to Facebook.
The video appeared to signal that the co-founder of legendary jam band Phish was announcing a new band and, at the very least, one new song. Turns out, the tease was just that -- a new project called Ghosts of the Forest.
So what is GOTF? Well, it's not only the title-track of an album set to be released on April 12, but Ghost of the Forest is also actually Trey, Phish bandmate Jon Fishman, Jennifer Hartswick, Celisse Henderson, Tony Markellis, and Ray Paczkowski.
According to Rolling Stone, Ghosts of the Forest is set to be Trey's most deeply-personal project to date, written for a close friend who passed away last year.
In addition to the forthcoming album, Ghosts of the Forest will also hit the road starting this Thursday for seven sold out stops on the east coast and ending with two shows in California. Click here for more info including tickets.
